Why not a Windows Media File w/ time-code burn? – Web delivery.
It’s what we do now.

If I just capturing DV over firewire (Low demand on my system) I do work in the background all the time. Email, FTP, Dreamweaver, Browser, Word, Etc – It handles it fine.

You can capture in many different formats and still maintain widescreen.
Just go to easy setup and select an animorphic version of one of them. 8 bit uncompressed, 10 bit uncompressed, dv50, prores, all have widescreen ability.
Just capture, edit, output widescreen – u’ll be fine.

DVD is SD and will always be lower fields.
Select DVD Best 16 X 9 and closes to your program length.
U should be good to go.

Is the goal to have the entire show play back slo-mo?
60p is what it was shot @.
You put it in a 24 timeline u get slowed footage.

You want real time film-like?
Shoot 24p
Then, to have a certain shot in slo-mo, you record it @ 59.94 and edit in your 24p project.
