Turn on your frame controls in Compressor.
You can up the data rate but you can only fit so much on a disc, ya know?
Up it some and see if you can still fit it all on the DL disc. If not, dial it back some.

Frame control will help.
you have 16X9 widescreen letterbox selected too right? This would be the correct aspect ratio settings.

We’ve all done budget shoots and had to record audio as well as run cam.
Yes, you can do it.

However, DO NOT use AUTO on your cam audio settings.
This will not yield the best results.
Take 30 sec. to set levels with ea. scene. Monitor you audio levels as you record.

Have someone show you if you don’t know how.
If the cam is new to you, Practice, test, test.

Perhaps you’re talking about offline editing?

You capture your video at an offline resolution – edit.
When edit is locked you conform to online. Which is to say you load footage in your edit @ hi-rez.

This is very common when you have mountains of footage and little hard drive space. Used less and less these days as storage prices have dropped.
