How to edit HD footage like this?
I have a 1080p canon s21.
I recently came back to FCP (used it in middleschool and then went to PC (mistake)
How can i convert my video in my timeline to bad quality sd, then when done editing convert all clips inmy timeline back to HD?
I used to do this with premiere.

Perhaps you’re talking about offline editing?
You capture your video at an offline resolution – edit.
When edit is locked you conform to online. Which is to say you load footage in your edit @ hi-rez.This is very common when you have mountains of footage and little hard drive space. Used less and less these days as storage prices have dropped.
