Use the FCP “Share” option – this creates your BD files.
Drop them in toast and burn. Don’t bother with TS folders.

It’s a quad 8600. It used to scream!
We upgraded 2MBs ram to 4MBs ram last month.
The internal hard drive has 50MB’s of space.
We render AE over the weekend.

IN HD, you choose Playback format of 1080 or 720.

The format it was recorded in will display while playing the tape.

If you shot 720/24 VFR then you capture (FCP) 720/24 playing out of deck 720

That camera shoots SD on tape.
480i.
White balance accordingly as you would shooting to card or anything.

Yes you can.

From an I/O card in the edit would be best. You’d have SDI or maybe HDMI out.

From the cam, run the SDI out thru an AJA box to HDMI to HDTV.

Well the DV codec is ugly for text and grfx.
Check your basic motion settings on the element when in sequence.

Change Sequence settings to DV 50 or prores after the edit is locked and it will look much better.

Probably, simply a recommendation so I wouldn’t have it happen.
But the shakyness of the handheld in general could be avoided, that’s all.
