DV 50, yuck, I’d go to 8 bit uncompressed.

My SCSI drives used to mount just fine, I always turned them off at night.

I’m with Russell, I tried a 6×11 tablet and hated it. It’s been a doorstop for 3 years.

    Have a wonderful day.

No, it would not increase capture speed or capability. As explained above, FW 400 is more than capable to capture DV. BTW you should not capture media to your boot drive, that’s a bad move.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • Herb,

    Boy, was that well said.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • As a matter of fact, it has happened to me many times, but not lately, as it forced me to the “habit schmabit” you spoke of, and I wasn’t trying to be a dick, I was offering you a solution.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • This is not a bug, you just have to make a habit of clicking out of that window before you start hitting the keyboard.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Chris,

I believe it defaults to Auto.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • Mark,

I’m not a Motion whiz, so maybe better help on the Motion forum, but anyhow, this may be a retarded method but it would probably work. Put a retiming “set speed” behavior on the footage and set the speed to 100%. In the properties inspector twirl down the timing arrow, there are a boatload of setting you could try, including optical flow.

More I think on this, in FCP you could put a deinterlace filter on it, and depending on which one you use may get a few blendi9ng options, Fields Kit from revisioneffects.com would give you this.

    Have a wonderful day.
