I find the presets in Episode for iPod to be the best.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Hey Walter,

Have to agree, probably the best live show of all time. If their athletes are as well prepared, look out rest of the world.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Hmmm,

David, I didn’t know there was anything lost on an HD set. When I see a 1080 project on my Panasonic monitor, it doesn’t look like anything is missing, am I wrong?

    Have a wonderful day.

Actually it’s called clock wipe, you could make the circle out of text, something round like Futura, make sure it’s exactly centered at the size you want, then you could move it anywhere over the map. Would take about a minute or two to do.

    Have a wonderful day.

The easiest way would probably be a circle wipe.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • To add to Chris’ post, it’s the playback standard in the VCR menu you need to set to HDV, and I believe the default is to Auto, not DV. Do this BEFORE you connect the FireWire to the camera.

    Have a wonderful day.

I said I like Streamclip, and I also use it, but my DVD player usage predates it, and you know how old habits die…

    Have a wonderful day.

Chris, I am capturing via component out into a Kona LH 8 bit, so it looks the same to me.

Dave, you still have to wait for Streamclip to render, plus do the settings, ins and outs, it’s not all that much faster IMO.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Chris,

Since I asked you, I went into Episode Pro and found a program stream that seems to work great, looks as sharp as the 8bit uncompressed file, only 26 megs!

    Have a wonderful day.

    Um,

Not to demean Streamclip which is a great app, you can capture right into FCP from a decent DVD player, set your capture to non-controllable device.

    Have a wonderful day.
