Try the strobe or the blink filter, they have pretty good controls, I think that’s what you want. In the video effects tab.

I would work in a 720p timeline and just put the 1080 stuff in that. You might want to set your render settings to high precision YUV and set motion to best. Should look fine.

You do this manually with your mouse, it’s pretty simple to hit the right arrow on the bottom of the timeline, it will scroll through while it’s playing. Not perfect, but it works.

I find SoundSoap to be the best noise reduction software around. Watch the tutorial on Bias’ website, it’s truly amazing.

That’s an interesting observation. Reminds me of learning Quark on a Mac Pro in 1988, only what I did was go through the glossary and highlight things I thought were important. Then I went to those pages and learned.

But bottom line is, manuals are good.

Compressor can do a nice job, you just have to fiddle with the settings, a couple short tests will help a lot.
