If your colorist can deliver ProRes to your liking, then take it and just do an online edit, you’re done.

    Have a wonderful day.

I hate lavs, because they look like shit and often stray to a lapel or shirt and cause undo noise. Also, I agree they don’t sound that good. We do all our voice recording with an Azden shotgun and are always pleased with the results.

    Well,

Tom, my friend, with your experience and knowledge, there’s little I can offer except to trash your prefs. But that wouldn’t explain the abberations on different machines, so it’s possibly a problem with the footage from the camera.

    Otherwise, a real stumper.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Paul,

Need more info, your logo has an alpha channel I assume? Sounds like it is premultiplied vs. straight, which it should be. Also, assuming you’re doing this in FCP, how are you viewing it? You should be using a proper broadcast monitor or at least a TV.

You might try using the matte choker on it to trim the edge.

Don’t know about this plug, but there’s one in Nattress Big Box of Tricks you might try called “G Earthquaker.” Don’t use it much but it’s pretty cool.

Also use the “wiggler” in After Effects, or just write a wiggle expression on the position parameter such as wiggle(7,5) or whatever suits your taste. You must scale the clip up a bit though.

    Erin,

Live Type is good for animated graphics, but you have to learn it’s quirks and settings. If you are just doing titles you’re much better off using Boris Title 3D.

Trashing the AJA prefs did not fix the problem.

Yes, I think that fixed it the last time, will try.

Good thoughts all, will check later today. Ended up just making my dubs from the timeline, there is a 2 pop on the show so hopefully the stations will put up with this, they have in the past before I knew how to use ETT.

    So thanks.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • E-SATA by far, I have the Firmtek unit, very good.

    Have a wonderful day.
