Can any one recomend an external hard drive & an eSATA card???
I’m looking to get some large external har drives for a long form project.
Can any one recomend some good external drives (I’m thinking around 2-4 terrabytes)??
I’d also like advice if I should stick with firewire 800 or go with eSATA . . . .
If eSATA what is a good eSATA card to get?? -

E-SATA by far, I have the Firmtek unit, very good.

I use Sonnet Fusion 500p 5 bay raid enclosures and the Sonnet Tempo SATA E4P 4-port SATA II PCIe card. Each port supports port multiplier functionality at 3Gb/s to interface to multiple drives. I work in 720p and 1080i and have no problems with throughput.

I’ve had both the above units and they are excellent. The Fusion 500’s are great. Been using them for 2 years with no issues.
