Sounds like a plan!
I use unscaled and render xyz 16bit tiff for dcp encoding and the results are spot on!
I’m not sure why you’d want a rec709 lut on their unless the guys doing the dcp have asked for it.Stick with unscaled xyz for dcp and render RGB10bit with the rec709 lut for tape deliverables..
(or add rec709 lut and powermaster straight out to tape)

It’s all about reel numbers, you can do all of this without timecode, all the files will have unique file names. Just make sure you setup resolve to see the file names.
Try reel number support %/R*.mov
Use this when rendering 5D to pro Rez. Make sure you also select “use prefix, suffix…….” in source mode
Your rendered prorez should have the same file bakes and the file name embedded into the reel name in the metadata ..
When you reconform the edl to the pro Rez Najee sure you set the same reel number support!
Of course this is soooooo simple in ver8 which will be release in two weeks according to my sources! -
Your absolutely right, it not true c-mode!
Here’s a quick work around,
In the conform page right click and choose “create session with handles”
Don’t add handles but check source mode,
I’m pretty sure it’s true c-mode with reel sorting.
Then from the color page just switch sessions between C&A mode time lines.BTW, I think you mean Amode not C,
Isn’t C mode edit order and A mode source order?Cheers

From what I’ve been told and Peter chamberlain can correct me here if I’m wrong, but 3 things ..
The scaled / un-scalded check box in monitoring setup has nothing to do with your rendered file.
If you render a file format that is YUV or 422 it will be scaled, ie QTime prorez HQ, mfx, uncompressed etc.
If you render DPX, open EXR or tiff then these files will be unscaled ie 0-1023.I’m not sure this is covered very clearly in the manual, If MR C or Rohit could confirm this for everyone, that’d be great!

Did your render of the one-light have exactly the same file names and timecode? Did you render in source mode with the check box for use origanal file names?
Did you use any reel number support, you should check these two points in the manual? -
Sounds like the problem comes from the editor, if all the events say BL then the reel names for the shots didn’t come through. Get the editor to re-do the edl and ask them to put file names in the notes, back in resolve turn on “reel numbers from edl notes” in the settings tab, then import your edl and conform it again.
There’s no problem with resolve here, you should be able to a one light and then re-conform once again from the edl.
Version 8 will make this much easier with XML conform! -
Way ahead of you here.
That’s already been discussed and I’m waiting to see the code.
Maybe 8.1
