    Hi to all
Yesterday we made on resolve 7 a 1light session for a client, on all his alexa material, that was because he want to edit with something more or less correct to present client. I render with same prefix same codec.

However he edit with does render and now when my clent come back to the Resolve whit the EDL, the edl doesnt work very well.
I saw the EDL on text mode an in every event i saw a BL …

    What could it be?

What i did to fix it is to relink all the media with the original alexa clips whithout the 1 light and then export the edl.

Does it mean i can’t do 1 light for client?
    Regards
    Javier Sanchez

Sounds like the problem comes from the editor, if all the events say BL then the reel names for the shots didn’t come through. Get the editor to re-do the edl and ask them to put file names in the notes, back in resolve turn on “reel numbers from edl notes” in the settings tab, then import your edl and conform it again.
There’s no problem with resolve here, you should be able to a one light and then re-conform once again from the edl.
Version 8 will make this much easier with XML conform!

I believe BL stands for black slug in EDL lingo. Could the editor have given you the incorrect target track when exporting? Perhaps he was targetting a matte layer, etc?

    Waiting for resolve8!!!
It’s really weird cause i put one clip on the FCP to export video as usual for resolve, and in my EDL also appeared BL with the 1 light material… however with the original alexa and same project the edl is correct.

    🙁

Did your render of the one-light have exactly the same file names and timecode? Did you render in source mode with the check box for use origanal file names?
Did you use any reel number support, you should check these two points in the manual?
