  • could you turn off every audio and try to ram preview again? Better yet, can you temporarily replace every footage that has audio with a solid?

is it just for that layer or for every layer? Does it happen with new projects?

  • You should check your hardware’s gpu compatibility in VCP’s product page. If it is, see if any driver update is available.

Render to a lossless image sequence then import that to a clean project and add your audio again. Send THAT to AME for rendering final delivery.

  • He meant the “toogle transparency grid” button on the composition window, not changing opacity at the timeline. I’ve been wanting that shortcut for ages too.

Anyway thank you for this info!

  • [Dave LaRonde] “Trying to get a grip on the problem, and the screen shot isn’t telling people much. Because right now, it looks like a couple of curved, 1-pixel wide lines that are badly aliased.”

That’s exactly my problem Dave, If you scale a single 1080p solid in one axis to 1%. It should look like ONE line right? Do you see the red bounding box thats outside the comp canvas? Thats what the blue should be like to.

[Dave LaRonde] “Is it a rectangular, comp-sized solid?”

1920×1080 square pixel solid, as it is the comp.

[Dave LaRonde] “At what angles on x & y? Are you using motion blur? When during the move does this happen?”

Not sure how to answer that, angle is one dimension. Theres no position change nor motion blur is involved.

[Dave LaRonde] “Does it just appear & disappear?”

Only when scale is below 1%. It flickers and theres a bunch of lines appearing. After that it renders as it should.

  • You’re looking at a 1080p solid on a 1080p composition viewed at 50%…this solid is rotated at -135º, being scalled on the Y from 0% to 100%.

Link one point light to each of your headlights location (or create external compositing tags)… when you extract you will have 2 lights (or solids) created in AE that should match your animation/camera.

Its a matter of concept, all you need to do is slow down your motion, you don’t have to increase your fps. You won’t EVER be seeing it in 500fps.
