Can you explain better why do you need to do this? I mean, even if you could i’m doubting your computer will be able to preview that fast…so what exactly do you want to achieve?

Where and how do you intend to preview your final file?

The repeating frames seem to be some cache problem, try to clear your AE’s disk cache (in the Preferences) and see if it solves the problem.

As for the size, it will depend on the file type and codec settings that you specify.

I’m not sure you can. It saves the last one used, which I think is the optimal behavior since I wouldn’t want to keep changing fonts everytime a create a new text layer during a single project.

What do you need this for?

    Everything is fine here…

If you’re going for a still frame, I would add every bit of lines, red squares and text in AE while compositing.

If it has motion and the text/red squares bend as they glide the letter’s side, you’ll have to add them in c4d as textures. (the red squares bending seem to be rendered in c4d as they are being reflected on the surface of the letter).

As for the geometry I see 5-6 different extrusions and one cut out reflective plane. Everything has soft round edges. 2 base materials, one black reflective. One glassy. Another material for the glowing ring rim (added with post) I don’t see different shades of red anywhere.

seems to be lit from the top/back/left with a single light.

For the compositing, The white color bleed on the left and the red color bleed on the right seem to be added in post, since they removed the overall contrast of the image.

If you’re increasing the scale of a layer that is actually a composition with collapse transformations checked, and inside this composition you’ve got .ai layers with continuously rasterization also checked.

Things should remain crysp always. I can’t think why you’re getting any different. Perhaps you can upload your file?

Thats a combination of masking and position. Theres no 3d rotation there. You’ll need to duplicate the head layer and set it as the eye’s matte. As for the beak and the head feather you’ll have to animate its position and change its shape(pre-composing) as needed for the rotation to look right.

Theres no automatic way. One can rig that to get quicker with the animation. but thats not so simple to go step by step here.

One way to do it is to set an if/else expression in the position.

Create a circle, create a null, link the circle to the null…

add this to the circle’s position property:

    a=transform.position[1];
    [transform.position[0],(a <0?a:0)]

The problem is you don’t even know the basics to ask the question. Whats does the DUIK script has to do with anything if you just don’t know how to rotate something in 3d? Just make the layer 3d and rotate its Y axis (check AE’s online help). Or set the X scale from 100 to -100, if its just a 2d turn. I don’t know flash, so maybe you have something automatic there that you’re searching for. But as far as AE go, thats 2 ways to do it.

  • Prodad’s Mercalli has options to remove tilt on separate axes, I’m not sure how it would behave if you check those options with its smoothing capabilities. It’s a paid plugin though, but you should check it out if you haven’t already (since you have this kind of problems frequently and the plugin is quick and robust).
