  • How are you projecting the image on that plane?

What you did to solve it is what I do almost everytime. To avoid collapsing I end up duplicating not just cameras but mattes, masks and nulls. The property linking is kind of a pain though, so I have this script hotkeyed. It’s handy and you should keep it in mind if you do a lot of compositing.

Was your target SS captured from the same source as your start SS?

Because the target SS has brighter values on the clouds than on the building roof, while your Original has the opposite. So maybe you’re having trouble because the base plate is not the sameGpu or capture device differences?). So unless you do some very specific color changes something will allways be off. I tried here and with global changes, the sky/clouds don’t ever get identical, while the rest of the colors do.

Instead of keyframing position, keyframe the letter’s anchor point and rotate those letters the same amount in the opposite direction.

You’ll have to model it somewhere else (in cinema 4d all you need is a helix a path and a sweep)…but you can render very close to that image using E3d in AE.

You should post on the cinema 4d sub forum, the guys there have a better knowledge of why this would occur. From the SS I can’t guess much. Maybe if you could upload the project?

Motion blur is checked off for your composition

  • duplicate your composition (in the project pannel). Change those layer’s cast shadow to “only”. Place this new comp bellow the one you want effects applied. Thats one way to cheat it.

I usually link everything between those comps together via expressions so I don’t need to keep changing things twice when/if needed.

  • You can stack animators, like this example I made: 8977_textexample.aep.zip

Or you can use plugins such as: animation composer Just remember that if a text effect like that ain’t present you’ll have to break your lines into characters everytime.

But essentially you can apply expressions that create that bounciness to position then stagger each letter a few frames. Animate scale and rotation as needed. (like the previous poster suggested)

  • Is it 10 total? or 10 different, repeated as needed? Dave may have wrongly understood things.

If you’ll want the logo to be filled with hundreds of words you should use a generator, like TC particular BUT remember that the words won’t line up properly and will need to be croped by your logo boundaries.

So if you need proper placement for it to look nice, forget any automation and do it by hand.

As in how to do it with particular. What don’t you know? how to randomly emmit the words? how to place them? How to make them move and stop? Can you be more specific?

if you are making your null move through a spline constraint tag I believe that won’t work. You’ll need to bake the animation to PSR.
