The easiest try would be using soft bodies. Check this example at the 24s mark and at the end you got something that resembles egg yolk. It should be a quick set up. If its far from what you want you’ll have to use fluid simulatores that have some viscosity.

Then create a new static camera. If the E3D’s object moves there. Then there is some animation to it that you need to remove.
If there isn’t any movement. You got a problem on your tracked camera, and you’ll need to adress it there.
If there isn’t any error, purge your memory cache. If all else fails collect and upload the project and i can tell you whats wrong. But I can’t say more with just a small gif.

March 14, 2017 at 12:17 pm in reply to: Tracking an object in front of an image that needs to be changedIf you’re using AE’s default tracker, just track the ball, duplicate the footage, create a shape like the ball and link to the null you used as target of the tracker. now set the footage to use the shape as an alpha matte. keep this new layers on top of the rest.

The default rectangular mask and shape tool (shortcut q) should easily slice the logo if you add a mask, duplicate the layer and move the top two vertices down. Keep doind that as many times you need/want to have several slices.
If you do that after you created that Y rotation of the logo, all you have to do is stagger the layers in time to create the procedural effect.
Add some lights and set the layers to receive/cast shadows and you’re done.

Precompose every part while leaving attributes. Now lets say double the resolution of the precomp, scale the ai layer to 200% and check collapse. Go back to the rigged layer and reduce scale by 50%. The rig will stay in place, puppet won’t break apart and you can now scale up to 200% with no quality loss. keep repeating as needed.

March 13, 2017 at 8:05 pm in reply to: How to blend Keyframes? (i don’t mean normal interpolation)You can add to any property a linear expression essentially transitioning between two values (lets say add the expression to the foot target of the run cycle and use the foot target of the walk cycle as a argument) . But that won’t solve your problem. A walk cycle and a run cycle have both very distinct behaviours. A run cycle has a pose in which no feet touches the ground. Transitioning from a walk cycle would mean that the character would slightly hover over the ground when on those moments.
In my opinion you can’t automate that and make it look fine.

You really shouldn’t have bothered splitting it in Illustrator when all you need are some masks in AE. If you’re getting visible edges while it settles just animate a wipe as it sits in the final position, thus revealing one single unsplitted instance of the logo.
Those examples are really basic. If you can be more specific on what it is that you can’t reproduce I’ll try to assist you with it.

Is your text set to 3d? or you just parented it to whatever it is that you tracked?
You have to understand that Element 3d has NOTHING to do with tracking. If you have a proper scene with a proper camera tracked and you position the object at any place it HAS match your camera movement.
That example you posted has a very jittery movement, I’ll hardly think AE can track and create a decent camera from it. Which is a basic requirement for a 3d object replacement.

Well you said it yourself on your system specs. If you’re actually using a AMD fire pro with 3GB. Thats your vram capacity. E3D should state that, along with its usage in the top right part of its scene setup window. And since you are using more than one instance of the plugin, each will have to load, compute and free the same vram.
I’ll guess its only one instance that when previewed in full will cause the failure. And if you find which you may be able to adjust it and keep it all in the project.
And now that I think of it, you should check Video Copilot’s site for info on known errors with AMD gpu. (I’m a nvidia users and I know for sure I can only currently use one driver if I want raytraced stuff)
Perhaps you’re just one driver update away of having to adjust nothing.

You have to also keep in mind that E3D uses your vRAM, not just your RAM. Maybe you’re reaching a limitation there. I’ve had projects that would not render on lower than 4GB gpus. Try to render with just some e3d layers on to see if you can find exactly what jams the system.
And If it’s just a matter of freeing ram. Can’t you render to an image sequence first, and keep starting from the failure frame until you’re done?
