You should specify which graphic card. Using two instead of a better one nowadays is the wrong choice. Two of the best is allways better.
When you say C4D do you mean the viewport aspect of the application? I’m not sure If it can share the vram of both cards, I’ll guess no. Vray on its basic usage uses cpu for render, so your gpu will have no influence also. To get improved results you’ll need renderers that make use of multiple gpus, such as Octane. I’m not familiar with the interactive modes of vray. But i’m guessing vray will too have modes that renders using gpu. Just not sure If they use multiple or single at the moment. they’re site surely will stipulate that.

March 3, 2017 at 1:08 pm in reply to: Choosing between different 3d models of the same objectWell…It’s not like paying extra for something. I’m guessing every seller has put some effort modelling it and can charge what they want and what they think the market allows.
I believe in almost every usage you can get the same result with both those meshes. But lets say I want it for a game or for GPU render with multiple “clones”. I’d get the one with the least amount of polygons.
If I’d want for app mockup images. I’d get the one whose render is closest to the look I’m after.
If I’m on a budget. I’ll get the cheapest one. And so on.
Having more options is a good thing.

March 2, 2017 at 8:24 pm in reply to: Transition one object to another using bubbles? After effects can only fake this kind of transition. Theres no way you can “store” two particles’ position in time. You can only do that kind of animation by hand.
AE does many things being a compositor, but for that you’ll need a more robust application like Cinema 4d and etc., but you have to know your way around those. It’s not very straightfoward.

Trapcode’s Form Plugin would easily do that. But you have to buy the plugin if you don’t own it already. (not sure if they have demo versions)
Try it our if you can and come back if you have more specific questions about it.

February 21, 2017 at 8:59 pm in reply to: How to apply an effect in Element 3D on separated objects?edit: Did you enabled glow in the “render settings” part of the plugin?
I’ll try to go in a more step by step explanation.
Assuming you’ve got a layer with Element 3d applied plus I assume some nulls controlling the movement of the model.
1- Duplicate this E3d layer 2 times.
2- Go to the topmost layer, enter E3D settings. Create two materials. Set the first one’s difuse color to white go to the illumination settings and check “use difuse color” and turn up intensity to 100%. Do the same thing to the second material but set the difuse color to black.
3- Apply the black material to everything. Apply white to what you want to glow. (essentially we will create a moving mask/matte).
4- Now exit the settings and set the middle e3d layer’s track matte to luma matte.
5- Precompose those two layers (the topmost and the middle).
6- Apply glow (to the precomposition). If things change position during step 5. You’ll have to duplicate the controllers and cameras to the precomposition.

February 21, 2017 at 12:56 pm in reply to: How to apply an effect in Element 3D on separated objects? If you can’t use Element 3d’s own glow material settings, you can duplicate the layer and create a luma matte by changing all materials you want to glow to white and the rest to black.
Use this a luma matte that you can precompose along with another instance of your “beauty” layer to add a glow effect.

Let me understand what it is thats getting messed up. Where are you adding stuff in AE? you said the solids are 13px wide. What happens when you change their resolution?
Can you post a screenshot of your composition?
