  • External Compositing – Transferring Scale of Clones into AE

I have a fairly simple scene. A plane that is cloned several times then the clones scales are modified with a plain effector so the scale of each clone is different. I am applying an external compositing tag to the cloner and then bringing the scene into After Effects. The camera and position of each clone comes in fine but the nulls are all 100% scale. How do I get the scale to transfer across into After Effects?

Check if you have both “cache” and “children” enabled in the external compositiong tag. And enable “Save animation for melange” in the options, under “file”.

Thanks for the suggestion, Cassius. I tried those settings but all nulls are still 100% scale in AE.
