  • How to blend Keyframes? (i don’t mean normal interpolation)

I’m looking for a plugin/expression that can blend a set of keyframes.

    For instance:
    1. I’ve an animated walk cycle of a character.
    2. And an animated run cycle of the same character.

How to blend 1 and 2 so the character can walk and gradually run. Is there any sophisticated workflow out there?

You can add to any property a linear expression essentially transitioning between two values (lets say add the expression to the foot target of the run cycle and use the foot target of the walk cycle as a argument) . But that won’t solve your problem. A walk cycle and a run cycle have both very distinct behaviours. A run cycle has a pose in which no feet touches the ground. Transitioning from a walk cycle would mean that the character would slightly hover over the ground when on those moments.

In my opinion you can’t automate that and make it look fine.
