    Forgot to ask…
How would the speed be compared to an internal sata 7200?

    Jeremy:
My question is more towards the codec since the output of the camera is 1440×1080, 1080i.

Well, if one handle the card properly, I mean format in the camera and take it out of the camera and import either from IMovie or FCP (log & transfer), everything go smooth and easy.
But if one makes the mistake to erase clips and thumbnails directly from the camera or on a card reader on the PC and then re-shoot again on the same card, then one face the similar problem of you and me now: an 8GB SDHC card readable only in the camera and only transferable to DVD SD on Toast 10. There is no way to read the clips under IMovie or FCP or Q.Time or Streamclip, something is missing there that link the shots with the software. I´ve tried everything imaginable but…..nothing, I am about to give up.

    James:
I´ve been after this for months till I almost quit. Saw your post and I am very interested. I got little experience with Compressor since I render full .mov to make DVDs so it would be great if you could give me the basics of the procedure.
    Thanks in advance

    Shane:
The only at my reach is the MXO.
Since you have a lot of practice with it, I have an aditional question:
I should hook up the MXO DVI-in to the DVI-out of the MacBook Pro, then take the DVI-out of the devive and link it to the Acer 22 LCD and at the same time the Component-out of the MXO to the Ikan monitor.
    Does this works this way?
    Thanks again

Well, after being working with computers for 25 years you never get amazed enough with things that happens. I tried and tried to get FCP work with my Seagate SATA II discs on two LaCie enclosures and never could work it out, the sil 3132 Express/34 Sata Link controller seemed to be not compatible with Mac and TCP. Just when I am leaving to Miami to pick up several items, among with is the Sonnet Exp Card, all of a sudden, while switching to Vegas in Win and FCP in Mac I forgot to take the card off when going to Mac. My surplise is that at the top of the bar it appeared the card and FCP recognized the discs, in mirror, as the scratch disc and it is working fine.
The only logical explanation is that the OS found the suitable drivers in the internet and it installed it by itself or the OS made and upgrade by intelf (within a package of software upgrades) and now the drivers are working.
