Thats what I was trying to find out with my question, not what you answered below, knowing it what the source was makes it easier to make a judgement call, probably like mentioned Dave mentioned.

Gee! I can’t see why you are having a problem, converting to Matrox’s I-frame codec will fix anything.

free? try virtualdub, there are plug-ins like the MSU Denoiser VirtualDub plugin and others.
Best way I found is to correct the video before digitizing with a signal conditioner and time base corrector. -

What was the source footage of the programs you were mastering??
Did you install any codec packs to Ppro?? -

Its quite possible there is a third app thats giving grief, I’m currently running studio premium with with all updates and QT 7.5.5 on win 7 pro64 and have no problems. -

This the only Harddrive in your system? You should have a separate dedicated drive for video files, using the same drive as the OS and apps can have problems even with separate partitions. -

You also need to discribe with what(cam and mic) and how you recorded the video and audio(programs used) since it seems that you recorded them separately

The 110u only records in HDV 720 various flavors and DV pal or ntsc i or p
It can upconvert 720 during playback to 1080i in the camcorder.
I think starting with the 200u JVC could record 1080i to tape.[Lee Schneider] “but I get a good signal out the S-Video.”
Have you tried to view the s-video signal on a monitor?
As far as I know the FX1 will playback a 720/30p tape but only out of the component output as converted 720 to 1080, have you tried to capture as 1080i from the component output with Blackmagic’s 1080 YUV??
