You need to tell people your computer specs so they can have more insight into your problem

Yes, that could cause some grief since the drive is not to fast, you need to get a separate drive for video source files, and it also helps to have another drive for cache files, preview files, sound clips and images, perferably eSATA 7200 rpm drives, and at least twice as large as the max files you would use.

To use GV neo with avchd you need version 2.5(booster) available from Panssonic free if you quaify for the upgrade, or you can purchase 2.5 upgrade for$49 or less, or use cindform neo with Ppro an/or a fast machine.

I haven’t run CS3 on win7 64 but it ran ok on vista64 with some small strange OS problems, I run CS4 with win7 Pro 64 on a desktop and win7 home prem 64 on a laptop with no problems

Single hard drives can give you grief, you should have a separate drive for video files, with DV a external USB 2.0 harddrive usually will suffice unless you have a bunch of USB devices connected.
