CS3 Strange Playback Issue
Hi all,
I am encountering a strange playback issue when I play captured DV footage in CS3. The footage has captured fine – when I play the clip in a standalone media player, it runs without problem. However, when I add a clip to the timeline and play the sequence, the clip stutters all the way through, skipping entire seconds of footage resulting in a “staggering” effect. This still happens when I play back in draft quality.
The strange thing is, after the clip has been played in the timeline once, it plays through each other time correctly, without skipping. Has anyone else encountered this issue and managed to solve it? I have a project which needs to be completed quickly, and whilst there is a workaround – add every clip to the timeline, play them through once to essentially ‘buffer’ them (which I shouldn’t have to do!), then edit from there – I am sure you recognise it is extremely inconvenient.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
