Anybody got a good method/effect/plugin that will improve old VHS tapes digitized into Premier Pro? I have the hard black video edges in some contrasting areas (don’t think much can be done about that) and a lot of color noise. If the noise can be cleaned up and preserve some detail (using temporal techniques I suspect) that would be great.

    Thanks.

Do you want to pay for plug-ins? try Neat video
free? try virtualdub, there are plug-ins like the MSU Denoiser VirtualDub plugin and others.
Best way I found is to correct the video before digitizing with a signal conditioner and time base corrector.

Thanks. I did find and have bought the Neat Video plugin. Seems to work very well.
