How about the Frame Active Objects, Frame Selected Elements (and their shortcuts) etc. in the Edit menu of whichever widow you’re working in? Or do you know those already and want something totally specific to the axis?

MoGraph Cloner object in surface mode

    -Doughnut
    – Cloner Object
    – Sprinkle
    other sprinkle shapes

Cloner Object – Object tab (leaving out a bunch of info but these two are the important bits)
    Mode – Object
    Mode – Surface

Seed and Count to control sprinkles, Selection to limit to poly selection if desired.

what was the solution (what was the cause? Maybe it would be good to B&W someday)…

-turn off the global AO in the render settings
-apply AO object by object in the Diffusion channel of each objects material
-floor, watch body, face and date (face and date need to have evaluate transparency turned on)
-don’t put it on the hands or transparent bits
-lower the face and date AO samples and accuracy (I did 64 and 70%) and it renders in 1/3 the time.
…of course if you’re baking keep the samples up if you want
-select an object to bake and Render/Bake Texture (probably you need to join hoop, hoop ontop and body to get one bake since they use the same texture)
-replace the AO in the Diffusion channel with the generated bake image.
    for the face either:
-turn off the hands and bake or
-bake a series of images so the AO follows the hands as they animate

And a critique – with AO the face looks old and used but the body looks new

Well, it’s incredibly crude but here’s a couple attempts using LoftNurbs, splines and either wind or a Formula deformer

    from this article

“The team used Photoshop and Cinema4D for design work, Maya for pre-vis, animation, lighting and rigging, and After Effects for final compositing. “

Anything uncompressed that your assembly/editing program will accept. Targa, Tiff, Pict, BMP have been the usual choices over the years. TIFF is likely most popular. Photoshop PSD would be good too if your program understands it (Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects would if those are your choice for editor – as will a number of others…). Others will have to chime in on the PC editing software, I’ve used Premiere, only dabbled in AE and the rest is Mac only (FCP etc.) so not much knowledge of good choices outside of Premiere from me.
