    – maybe poly letters fed into the PFrag node in Thinking Particles using Pryocluster to render the generated particles, depending on the look you want for the smoke…

    good tutorial here

turn off GI Generate and GI Receive for all glass materials, the difference in image is usually not worth the time. Otherwise your scene doesn’t look tough (unless I’m not seeing something) and as long as your Min/Max Resolution/Stochastic Samples are set so you are not getting more resolution than you need…

Noise settings in the light (pretty much all the settings) can be animated/controlled in xpresso, can’t test but likely the sound node in xpresso or the Sound effector (MoGraph) could be used to drive Noise etc. settings in the light. Don’t know what that would do, can’t test till later today.

Belts are still likely the way to go. The boxes are in a different place but the cloth is held in place by the belt tags until frame 60 (if I recall correctly) where the Influence of the belt changes from 100% to 0, only then does the cloth slide off the boxes.

10.111 is a free upgrade to 10 or 10.1 so just go to the updates section and get that.

Fixing the points isn’t what you need, you want to use the Belt tag which you can turn on and off (animate the Influence parameter). Quick Example

GI takes a while, it’s never fast. However, the Help has a bunch of hints about how to speed things up that can really work, it takes some practice though.

That may get you started. I don’t know which bits are really necessary for what you are looking for (the .col file maybe?) as I leave it alone for the most part myself.

definitely nice for a first one, like Randy said reflection/environment for the paint and windows would help a lot, looking farther along you would have to give it some thickness to the roof and side pillars etc. Smooth a few bits but very nice start 🙂
