I don’t think (correct me if I’m wrong) that TP can interact with Dynamics. Dynamics takes things from the first frame it’s activated and runs from there if you added stuff later if would be a problem – perhaps it could be written to do that but not at the moment… You’d need to do it the way they did in the TV studio, have a bunch of balloons in the rafters, nothing needs to hold them they’ll just hang there until you tell the Solver to start.

Cloth could do the fall/bounce but for balloon to balloon collisions etc. Dynamics would be better

Nice, in my testing I used a Mograph video wall pulled into a sphere with the Wrap deformer but it was still Mograph and slowed moving around in the editor that is totally sweet as a solution.

ahh, fill the empty space, not fill the spline….

yes, cloner in object mode and use the spline as the object

how many clips are actually going to be used to map to the sphere?

with that many images it might be easier to do it in AE/FCP etc. then wrap one texture made of many around a simple sphere…

Sounds like you are using Make Preview to do your renders and the file it writes to is corrupt or a permission issue has happened. Try tossing the old render a see if a new one will work now or go to Render Settings and set your Output and Save settings like you want and ‘Render to Picture Viewer’… if that’s what you are doing, I don’t know.
