You could emply the Numbers effect (under text in the effects menu) render the file and reverse the sequence.

I’m sure you could write an expression to set the source text of a text layer. Alternately you could keyframe the source text of a layer to change when you want.

Thanks Le Coyote for your suggestions.

No odd codecs or 3rd party stuff installed. This was a fresh installation of Adobes Production Suite.

Its been suggested that I may have some flakey memory (even though its premium OCZ Platinum), so I’m going to run MemTest overnight and see what that turns up.

    Thanks again.

No doubt! The quad is very pricey. I should have put the money into a quad but with the intel desktop macs around the corner I’ll hold off.

I’m using the animation codec. No alpha just straight RGB. Updated the BIOS and nVidia driver and still the same issue.

In the past Adobe would do a cross-grade for a nominal fee, I have no idea what their current policy is. They request you sign or agree to destroy and dispose of your current software once you receive the version for the new platform.

The fee covers the cost of new install disks and shipping, around $25 per application. In your case since there is no mac equivalent of the Production Studio this may pose a problem.

Call the toll-free Adobe store for details and have your customer number ready.

You could render the number animation with alpha and use time remapping. Try changing the frame rate of the comp.

  • thanks. But this appears to modfy the boot.ini to recognize more than 2gb of RAM. My XP Pro already sees the RAM, After Effects only uses 2.

This is on a new system dual Athlon 64, ASUS mobo and GForce 6800 card
