After Effects 7.0: How do you enable 3GB RAM in XP Pro?
According to the documentation, After Effects 7 will now address 3GB of RAM on XP Pro. The documentation says that the settings info can be found at Microsoft’s site.
I’ve Googled and searched the site for over an hour and haven’t located the pertinent material….
Does anyone know how this is done? I have 4GB in my XP box and it would be great if AFX could use it.

thanks. But this appears to modfy the boot.ini to recognize more than 2gb of RAM. My XP Pro already sees the RAM, After Effects only uses 2.
This is on a new system dual Athlon 64, ASUS mobo and GForce 6800 card

Your BIOS can read available physical RAM on start-up, but that doesn’t mean that Windows XP can use it or make it available to apps to use, until you enable the /3Gb switch.
