Well they don’t call it decompose but it can certainly do the same thing via the media manager. You’ll end up with a new project, but since FCP can open more than one project at a time (Avid still can’t do that, eh?) you can then just put the sequence (and related bin of clips) into the original project. End result same.

Press ctrl+q (it most likely says custom setup)
Choose DV NTSCYou’re done. The default sequence for the DVNTSC setup is a standard ntsc sequence.
Give it a try. Make a new sequence and check it’s settings.
Somebody had simply gone inot the audio/video settings>sequence presets checkmark. They put it next to anamorphic. That’s why the easy setup window said you were in custom setup mode, and that’s why changing your easy setup to DV NTSC fixed everything.
I hope.

Sounds like you were supposed to create the project in Flash 6, not combustion. Anything other than that and they’re very confused.

Normal basic stuff is text, pictures, and links arranged in a table. Any product will do that for you. No need to learn html if you don’t want to. But iti certainly helps to understand it so you can attempt to tweak or debug if your wysiwyg editor doesn’t create exactly what you were thinking, or if it looks different in different browsers, etc.

Just reiterating what Curtis said. Read his post again. It didn’t sound like you understood. Linking to other websites will never ever ever improve your ranking. It will improve their ranking. Clear enough?

If you can get the W3C to link to you, it will help. But that just ain’t gonna happen. Linking to them is pointless.

Neither of the 2 you mentioned require any knowledge of html for most normal basic stuff. If you’re looking cheaper you could get microsoft frontpage. It doesn’t know much about html either. 🙂
Or, here’s a thought. You CAN actually use Macromedia Contribute as a stand alone app. It’s very similar to working with frontpage in that aspect. You’d actually build your site on the server, and edit it directly on the server. Then later you could edit those sites (and upgrade them to something better) with Dreamweaver.
Both are a completely free, completely functional 30 day trial download. Give them a shot.

Good call. You’re following everything correctly, and it’s a completely brand new site, so I can make all the pages be .php no problem. I’m new to iFrames and you’ve answered it pretty well with the browser wackiness comment.
I was just coding all the menu items just now and realized I had to pick either .html or .php as the extension and decided to check the forum. .php it is. Can’t hurt even if I change my mind later.

April 19, 2005 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Converting DV into SD codec for colour correction, will it help?As long as you’re going back out to someting better than DV. If you’re just going back to DV at some point, all your hard work will be obliterated, AND you will have run your project through one extra process.
