  • Converting DV into SD codec for colour correction, will it help?

    Hi there,

I’ve been colour correcting in the DV codec for a while and I have found that I getting some unacceptable noise in the mids and blacks. Would converting the media to SD or dropping the the project onto a 8 bit SD timeline help? (I have fast enough stroage to do this).

    Cheers,

    Edd

As long as you’re going back out to someting better than DV. If you’re just going back to DV at some point, all your hard work will be obliterated, AND you will have run your project through one extra process.
