I did a quick search and didn’t find anything, so I’m posting the question. This should be easy.

When I open FCP HD on one of my systems, and open a new project, it defaults to the DV NTSC *Anamorphic* setting for the sequence. On all my other systems it defaults to the standard DV NTSC 48K setting for the sequence.

Sure, I can go into sequence settings and change it to the DV NTSC preset, but that’s not good enough. I absolutely must have it default to the standard (non-anamorphic) setting when I click “New Project”. This is a semi-public university media center and our typical users won’t know anything is wrong until it is way too late.

If anybody knows how to fix this please let me know. It would be a great help.

Press ctrl+q (it most likely says custom setup)
    Choose DV NTSC

You’re done. The default sequence for the DVNTSC setup is a standard ntsc sequence.

Give it a try. Make a new sequence and check it’s settings.

Somebody had simply gone inot the audio/video settings>sequence presets checkmark. They put it next to anamorphic. That’s why the easy setup window said you were in custom setup mode, and that’s why changing your easy setup to DV NTSC fixed everything.

    I hope.

That’s it exactly. Thanks a lot.
