  • What would be a nice addition to this publishing / rigging functionality would to be able to hide / show drop zone boxes in the parameters.

Say if you wanted to have 10 different versions of a boxes effect, it would good if when you selected a 2box example from a dropdown menu it would only show 2 dropzones, because as it stands I believe you have to show all the possible dropzones….leading to a crowded parameter pane in fcp.

Does that make sense? I usually don’t !

    Milk and 1 ? 😉

I still can’t believe we actually get paid to do what we do…..so can’t complain.

Sure, Here is an updated version with a colour slider giving you multiple colour choices.

FCP X Best Laid Plans V2

Sorry, the lack of a colour choice was a bit of an oversight on my behalf. Thanks for the heads up.

  • It seems you can right-click on the keyframe arrows in the viewer for positional keyframes when using the transform tool, and choose either linear or smooth.

But no such luck for adjusting the interpolation for scale or rotation.

As said previously we have much greater control in motion for this stuff….just bring back “send to motion” please!

[Eron Otcasek] “1. use the blade to splice multiple tracks?…
-after syncing multiple tracks it seems I cannot select all tracks and use the blade to splice multiple tracks within my compound clip…..”

The blade tool only appears to work on all vertical “tracks” as long as you selection does not contain multiple horizontal edits.

That sounds a bit vague my description I think…screenshot in order I think.

Will not work with multiple horizontal edits selected like this:

Command + B will work if there is not a multi-selection of horizontal edits like this:

    Hope that helps,

You’re not missing a thing…. no out of sync indicators I’m afraid.

A bit of a hack, but if you do break apart video and audio, add a marking to each before doing anything else….Giving you a manual sync point to line up with if needed.

Compound clips, as you suggest are the way to avoid any issues though.

Even though it works, it’s no replacement for functionality that should be there in the first place.

But should do the job until we have that.

In theory yes, it should do that fine, as you can tell it just to record mouse movements, then replay that action with your own chosen hot key.

Though I found you have to play round with it a bit, as sometimes it triggers the actions to quickly and doesn’t work.
