    1. use the blade to splice multiple tracks?…
-after syncing multiple tracks it seems I cannot select all tracks and use the blade to splice multiple tracks within my compound clip…..
    2. keep angles on their own layer….(without them falling onto the first layer…)
when I’m editing, I need to keep one layer dedicated to the drummer, one for the guitarist… etc… so I can visually see the over 400 edits of the drummer and apply a color preset for him…
    3. See more information on the screen… In fcp 7 I could easily see 10 layers or more at a time… and still keep the viewer quite large.
    4. When I click to open a compound clip.. the location it brings me to is where I last left it…. instead of where I just clicked into it…. has anyone found a way to change that preference..
    5. Still duration…. I want to import stills at 1frame…

    1) collapse the compound clip and the use the blade tool on that to cut through all the layers.

    2) you could try creating a storyline for each angle. They are independent of each other.

    3) there is a clip size setting in the bottom right of the timeline. Choosing the far left removes the thumbnails and waveforms.

    4) don’t know. It might not be possible.

    5) not sure, but why do u need to? You can open stills as an image sequence in motion if that’s what you’re after.

5). You can set still duration in prefs, just like fcp7

    1. Use blade to cut multiple tracks…

    From the manual:

“Note:  If you don’t make a selection, this command acts only on the clip in the primary storyline.”

if you select all tracks blade cuts through them all

    Didn’t check it in compound.

The blade tool only appears to work on all vertical “tracks” as long as you selection does not contain multiple horizontal edits.

That sounds a bit vague my description I think…screenshot in order I think.

Will not work with multiple horizontal edits selected like this:

Command + B will work if there is not a multi-selection of horizontal edits like this:

    Hope that helps,

    Cheers,
