The Kona 2 offers a Y Pb Pr analog output that is controlled and set by the AJA Kona Control Panel. This control panel allows you to switch the component output between Hi Def analog component, and Standard Def Analog component (downconvert). In this control panel, under the control tab, you can select COLOR BARS, and test the JVC. Test the JVC with the Kona Control Panel color bars – both as an HD signal, and then as a downconverted Standard def signal. How does the JVC respond ?
Sure, I would love to blame the JVC, but I am not there, and I just don’t know. You have to do these tests, and report back. YES, the Kona can output HD-SDI AND component video AT THE SAME TIME. You must now tell me if the HD component out is shakey, or is the downconverted output shakey, or is both shakey. I can assure you that even on a cheap consumer Sony LCD monitor that you get in Best Buy, the Y Pb Pr output of the Kona 2 is ROCK SOLID, so lets see if your monitor has an issue, or just an issue with
HD or SD.
