trouble capturing audio from beta deck
i rented a beta deck to digitize a few tapes
i can capture the video but am getting no audio
i’ve gone from the beta deck straight to the aja box
with no sucessi’ve gone from the beta deck through a mixer to the aja box
and got audio on my speakers from the beta deck
and also could play music from my computer
but when trying to capture i could still get no audio in final cut
i tried using different audio capture settings
“ProIO Out” didn’t work and neither did “built in audio”any suggestions would be helpful

What are your system specs? (including drivers/firmware/FCP version/etc.)
I know you have probably checked this, but when you are in the log and capture window, is the audio box checked? Do you see audio levels coming in to FCP when you are playing the beta in log and capture mode? How’s your system hooked up?
Paint a picture of your setup for me.

I bet your Audio/Video settings are wrong. Simply choose Betacam 8 bit uncompressed under easy setups, and try it again.
