Thom, I am using a totally different system now. I take HDMI out of the EX1R to an HDMI/CAT 6 converter switch. I run the CAT 6 to a Vaddio A/V Bridge to a PC Laptop using USB. I broadcast through Microsoft Lync because it is company secure and easy for my end-users. It is not HD because Lync does not do HD but it is perfectly acceptable for my purposes. Hope this helps.

I have been using a number of different brands of SDHC cards in 6 cameras and have never had a problem with them. I use MxR adapters from eFilms. I have downloaded literally thousands of clips without one problem. Don’t by the really cheap ones.

Thank you for your help. It would be very useful for me to know who was logged since most of my users are not at the same site as me. It was very easy to do in Final Cut Server.

Thank you so much for your swift response. I believe I own four of every cable except that one.

  • Black suit.

  • I get the same message. I just click on “OK” and the clips load normally into XDCam Transfer. It does look important though.

    Hi Rawad,

Please don’t be so quick to judge Ex1r based on one experience. I have 6 of them and have used all of them in different situations with great success. I would be very careful using the auto white balance. It is very sensitive and changes quite quickly. I assume it would go nuts in a colored light situation. Get a correct white and go with it. Colors should change in that situation. Also, I use auto iris quite frequently and have no problems with it. Use the Zebra feature. The monitor is quite accurate. Also, if you are adjusting your viewfinder to crappy footage you are perpetuating your problem.

Good luck and play with your camera some more.

  • Does the new system have the proper codecs for the clips you are trying to view?

Not sure. I have never done time lapse but I don’t think I lose any quality when I speed video up in FCP. But then again I have never done 4 hours.
