  • XD cam transfer suddenly giving Error Scanning Device message

    Help I updated from Mac to Mountain lion and FCP is still at 7 and when i tried to import BPAV folder using xdcam transfer 2.12, it gives the error below. Help I am desperate, what to try? Thank you tons! Delaney

    Error Scanning Device
    Failed to compile statement ‘select t2.UMID from CLIPMETADATA as t1 outer join MEDIAID as t2 outer join MEDIAINFO as t3 where t1.KEYFRAMECLIPID in ( 365, 364, t1.UMIDID = t2.ID and t1.UMIDID = t3.UMIDID and t3.DISCID = 6;’ (1: RIGHT and FULL OUTER JOINs are not currently supported)

    I get the same message. I just click on “OK” and the clips load normally into XDCam Transfer. It does look important though.

    XDCAM Transfer 2.12 does not work properly on Lion or Mountain Lion.

    Upgrading to XDCAM Transfer 2.13 will solve your problem. You can find it on Sony Canada:

    I had these problems before when I was on Snow Leopard, then I updated to Lion and it was alright for a while. Now the same problems reoccured after trying to update to XDCAM Transfer 2.13. 🙁
    I am on Lion and still using FCP 6 – and after the update I can’t open XDCAM Transfer any more at all. Anybody got any idea what to do?
