Is your output to tape for delivery, or to DVD? If to DVD what TK says about the Mpeg2 conversion to DVD works good, if to tape for SD what I do is export as HDV to the cam then let the cam downconvert to DV while dubbing to a deck.

If you have 4gig mem with the 3gig sw set, windows can reserve up to a gig for the kernel and executive components. -

Adobe doesn’t build interfaces for third-party software, their eng people will give some support but I think Canopus blew that bridge up, complaints seem to fall off Canopus’s back, the US support try to do a good job, but the decisions do anything come from the rising sun.

They are called Boundary Lines, they are controled in the Preferences Menu-> Display Tab, avaiable in the Edit Menu Dropdown, you can turn them on/off and adjust the level they appear at, -1DB is the default, you can set them to use as a guide for circumstants where you don’t want to exceed a certain level, like the safe areas for video, -1DB is a good point for clipping

What are you using to tranfer the footage, USB or Firewire?

>Remember that Encore in “automatic” get is own encoding matemathics bitrates to accomodate the footage. Don’t think PP is capable of making this by its own.< Ppro in the DVD Burn Mode will tell you if the bitrate selected is not correct by telling you "Insufficient Disk Space for Burning, then you need to go into the DVD setting menu and select a lower bitrate and/or type of encoding(VBR/CBR), The only way you know that its correct is to hit OK and go back to the burn menu, if it still gives you a error when you go back to the burn menu, you need to segmate the project or go back and select another bitrate combo or a custom one till the errror leaves.
