When I try to Capture HDV footage from a HDV camera(Sony HDR-HC3) onto Premiere Pro 2.0 the capture screen is black but it reads a time code. All the settings in Premiere and on the camera seem to be in the right place. Help.

Are you using an HDV project preset?

HDV does not show up in the capture window. Only on the camera.

Thats correct. When you capture, it makes a file but you aren’t able to open it. I’m not sure Premiere recognizes this camera.

What are you using to tranfer the footage, USB or Firewire?
