I also have another problem (and a big one too).
    AfterEffects crashes while rendering.

I’ve been working on this comp for AGES, had one billion problems with it and now, when it is finished, it seems that I can not render it…

What is causing the crash problems?
    How can I solve them?

I have a 3D object in the composition that is applied through Zaxwerk’s 3D Invigorator.
It seems that the render crashes when this object appears on screen.
I am not 100% sure tha this is the reason, though.
    That’s why I need a second opinion.

    THANKS!

    And please comment.

    Any feedback on this issue?
Am I the only loser that is experiencing it?

The camera is at the same distance from all objects.
It’s basically three keyed out human figures – the three takes of the vocalist that I am going to use.
They are all in the same XYZ position in 3D space – same distance from camera.
Still, one of them is acting strangely.
It works OK in Active Camera view, but disappears in Front view.

I already mentioned this and you can see it from the screenshot that the problematic pre-comp also has different settings set to it (NOT BY ME!!!).
When I try to change those settings, they act in a different way from the rest of the pre-comps.
I realize that meybe they don’t have any effect on things but still – it’s strange that this pre-comp acts so differently from the rest when in reality it is no different from them – it was created using the same methods as the rest…

I don’t consider this big of a problem as I will be using Active Camera view only for the final render, but it’s an interesting problem anyway (A program bug? Not likely… hehe).

    Anyone?
Please, have a look at the screenshot from my previous post and tell me what is going on.

I am using the Null object method now.
    Works OK for now.
Will check out the other methods too but for somebody with zero experience, like myself, the Null is a great way to go!
Hope it will not give me any troubles. Will post back if it does.

OK, guys, I really need to know what is going on.
Here is a screenshot of the problematic Pre-Comp (VOCALS – 1) and the other Pre-Comps.

The areas that do not match are marked in RED (for the problematic pre-comp) and in GREEN for the pre-comps that work OK in Front view)

I never tweaked any of those settings but somehow they are different.
I am not sure if these differences are causing the problem with VOCALS – 1 not to show in Front view.
When i try to twek these setting, I get different results from the other pre-comps.

Thanks, I didn’t know I should keyframe the point of interest as well.
Actually, I am not quite sure what the Point of Interest is but I guess that it is a powerful tool.

Is there a way to make the point of interest move together with the Position of the camera?
I guess this will save me a lot of troubles.

    This was the reason, yes.
