    Hi,
have you set Hair Dynamics to Guides or Hair?
If it is set to Guides, only the guides will collide and the hairs are interpolated between them. This can easily lead to intersection. Either increase Guide count/density or switch Hair Dynamics to Hair.

    Hi,
.Net is not needed for CINEMA in any way.
I’ve only heard about problems like the once you encounter when a malfunctioning filemanagement tool was installed that modified the original file requester.
As for the Matrox graphics card, it’s not recommended, but it should pose no problem.

If you can’t import it then you are missing the AE plugin. Check the directory of your CINEMA 4D installation for the exchange plugins folder and install the matching AE plugin.

PBlurp takes no notice of Alphas too, it just splits the geometry like PFragment. Internaly PFragment and PBlurb share the same code for splitting up objects.

PBlurp is a one trick pony. It does not interact well with other TP operations.
You will have to use PFragment and build the setup yourself.

Maybe you are looking for the layer shader?
Or if you are talking about BodyPaint 3D just switch to the BP painting layout and you will find it tabbed with the material manager and the object manager in the lower right.

As Brian said, the UB version includes both, naive support for PPC and Intel based Macs.
Maxon is currently offering exta documentation for plugin developers so they can easily switch their development from PPC only plugins to UB plugins.
As for MoGraph, if you think it’s only presets then you have never tried the demo 🙂
The examples that come with it can only show a very small part of what is possible with MoGraph.
To the best of my knowledge there is no comparable tool.
Regarding AE, CINEMA 4D has the best AE integration you can get from any 3D app.

  • If you only installed Net with the original 9.0 CD the 9.5 CD should only upgarde that and not add the main program.
If you need replacement CDs just contact Maxon.

  • You are trying the downloadable updater for 9.603 or 9.521 on a 9.102?
This simply can not work. 9.5 was a paid upgrade and you will need the installation CD.
After upgrading your 9.102 to 9.507 with the CD you can then apply the latest updater 9.603 to get the latest version running.
Any attempt to mix a 9.102 installation with the 9.521 or 9.603 online updaters will result in garbage.
In your case i would start from scratch with th 9.0 CD (and all modules that came with it), then apply the 9.5 CD (and new modules if you got them) and then the downloaded 9.603 updater. If you have MoGraph you can install that last.
    Cheers
