Also you can try one or more Particle Attractors with negative values to push the guides away.

    Hi,
the render path you have choosen in your project file is ignored by net renderer. It will always save the result files in
the CINEMA 4D Net Server installation directory /User/[Username]/[Projectname]/Results
The small images you found might be the temporary thumbnails created to show the progress.

You have to allow the ports used by Net Renderer in the firewall. The defaults on Mac are 8080 for the server and 1080 for the client.

CINEMA is one of the very few applications that can be installed on a removable media without any problems. You can put it on an external disk or even a memory stick and run it just fine from there. This way you can take it with you wherever you want.
If you already have a complete installation you want to continue to use, just move the whole applicaiton folder to the removable drive. No extra action is required.

Like Ingemar said, but be aware that the SLA version used in the tutorial is from R8.0. With 8.5 the shaders got completely reworked (thats why the names aren’t identical anymore) so you will see many changes in the interface and the parameters. Also many new shaders were included in 8.5. Most important check the new layer shader.

What version are you using? Dirty NUT is a bit old now and it should be replaced using Ambient Occlusion.

Try FBX, OBJ or VRML for this. FBX and VRML can transfer animations, but don’t expect to much from this.

In the illumination part of the material enable “Animate Preview”

Should be no problem since 9.6. Before 9.6 only the background object was capable of showing image sequences in the editor.
Does it work for you when rendering? If not maybe something went wrong when creating the material.
