I cleared all cache, and rendered out the secant to different resolutions as well. and the issue never went away. was easy to fix with a workaround, but no idea why it happened. will try to get you a file…

levels will not do what I need it to do. the more I slide the displacement map value in 1 direction the more i need the object to move in the other direction if that makes sense.

nope. regardless of where the play head is it still only starts the first play at 1/4 of the way in.

importing into a new one did the same. But the project does work when its on an external drive with a lot of space. other early auto saved versions also are doing the same thing.

if i have 100’s of files in AE and i want to add another number or letter to the end of each one, instead of doing that manually, can i use automator or something like it to do it? its only a few keystrokes that need to be played out over and over again.

i bult a really complex movement by using a series of time remapped comps that i then needed to follow the end movement. and theres no way to follow the movement without eyeballing the final end comp. if i follow the comps that were used to build it then it would never be the correct movement.
