okey, look first at your decibel meter in Premierepro.
if that gives a normal level, than look in the preferences at your audio hardware settings and audio settings. if that’s all okey.
look at your project settings (when making a new project) and look at the audio sections.

okey, first of all. reformat your laptop if you wanna get rid of those extra worthless software. easy job. second. on my new Dell inspiron 6400 dell laptop with every posible upgrade. Premiere pro 2, adobe after effects work very nice and clean next to each other. i’ve also connect a big tv screen for full previews and that works fine.
why buying a mac and still run windows on it? thats a bit weird. but CS3 is also in mac version right, so you can choose. there is also a heavier class of dell notebooks than the inspiron.
some people who have macs tell me they are so light, so well designed etc. but yeah., who cares if it’s 3kg. as long as it’s workes, is fast, has a good battery and a great screen to look at.

okey. try this:

save the premiere pro file as a normal ppro project file
and try to open that project file in AE ( file>import file)
than double click on the sequence file in the project panel

here we go again again (a simple search and you will find this answer in like 10 posts, but okey)

heey,

i think this will help you :

-Edit your clip in Premiere. than save your project.

-open After Effects. file>import, then import your Premiere Pro project file.

-now you see your clips in the project panel and very important a sequence file (it’s called that way I thought).

-double click on that sequence file (important: do not move it into the timeline, just double click). and all your seperate scenes/shots/files (cut in Premiere pro) appear in the timeline in AE as seperated layers (also transitions and styles from Premiere PRo are imported).

-then use coole effects on them separedly. if you wanne render in AE, your done here.

render out in Premiere :

-then save your AE file. and if you wanna render it out in Premiere pro, just open the AE project file in Premiere.

-then only 1 clip will appear, but you’ve edit this the first time in PP and allready applied effects on it in AE, so no prob there 🙂

i tried dynamic link, but this is only a options for 1 scene/dvd menu or whatever per sequence. only usefull if you wanne see direct result between AE and PP. not with a movie with 200 shots or so:P

or use time-remapping, go to the graphic set and then play with those lines for fasforward/reverse etc etc

those sony hi8 cam’s are realy before my time (1985, and i am 19 myself now) so thanxs for the info. weird there isn’t a “analog camera” forum on this nice website though. but okey. now i can get filming my shots knowing i can get them on my pc, thanxs ^^

second, why won’t they work on premiere? ofcourse, more expensive is better…right but why?

I have mutiple DV cam’s but how do i know if they can pass through the data?

question, why don’t you use a tripod if you wanne get rid of al that shaky stuff or just a steady hand or some other tools?
