I’m using QT for windows and I must say 7 is really bugged. I agree it is not happy with AE.

Mine did uninstall ok but I din’t know about macs.

I figured it out, at least one way, the only way in fact I could find.

You hide the text layer by switching off the eye in the timeline and render out the particles at full uncompressed setting (or QT amimation) or save ram preview and import into project.

Then turn the text back on, turn DOF off and hide the particle so you now only have a black BG with non blurred/no depth of field on the white text. Render that out and import.

Make new comp with imported particle, add the imported text.

hi, i tried with TP but it’s difficult to get realisticly. if you have no luck, look at Andrew Kramer’s Action Movie Essentials dvd here or at videocopilot.net.

Also, I’ve been told ae doesn’t like xp64, haven’t really had time to try it myself as swamped but might be worth looking into that

I myself seperate OS, progs & data files to physical drives, but I run prem pro2 and ae7 on the OS drives with windows, I just find it runs better, also make sure you have OS on the fastest drive.

You have a nice rig, I use 800 ram only beacuse I found no noticable performance between them and 1066 for price it made no sense to go there. but if you can afford it get the fastest as you mobo does support it.

wondering how I get this to happen, “ae7 won’t be able to use more than 3gb of ram by itself (if you buy nucleo pro, it can use at least 2gb per core” as I have 4gb ram, a duo2 cpu, ae7 and nuleo pro?

I’m 70% positive you can use Trapcode Particular to achieve this kind of effect, I did get it with smoke so it must be possible to change the source particle to whatever is required like the papers etc.
