There’s no conflict between X11 & FCP. You should install X11 from your Panther or Tiger install disk. Make sure that the version of X11 matches your version of OS X.

If you already have a website, why not just host your video there? If you send your prospective clients to You Tube, you run the risk of them being distracted by all of the other You Tube videos, and what started as your demo becomes a fun search for Japanese Fiddler on the Roof & the singing house cats.

Business Card & mini sized CDs & DVDs will jam any slot loading player, like those found on many laptops. Not a good way to introduce yourself. And if it doesn’t start up & play perfectly the 1st time, you’ve lost a client.

And only at the 720P settings. At 1080, everything is contained inside of a 29.97 frame rate as it’s recorded to disk or card. At 720, you have the option of recording to P2 cards at 59.94, 29.97 or 23.98, but to disks like your Citi Disk it’s only 59.94.

It’s basically the same benefits that you get with Sony’s IMX codecs. Intra-frame means compression within a single frame. Inter-frame means compression between several frames, IOW a group of pictures.

It sounds like you’re making an insert edit, which will shift everything in front of the new clip to the right. Use an overwrite instead, which will not move anything. Same as on Avid.

A DVD burner can be an incredibly useful thing to have. Why not spend $30-50 on one and swap out the CD-ROM that’s in that machine now?
