September 10, 2012 at 10:07 am in reply to: Resolve 9: No option to link Chase audio anymore?Sascha,
I think you are referring to manual source wav file sync with a clip in the timeline? This can be done by opening a wave file in the source viewer, going to the corresponding spot on your timeline and then right clicking in your timeline and selecting “Link Source Viewer Audio with Video”.
Any adjustments can be made by right clicking on the small icon on the bottom left of the clip in the video track and selecting edit. Alternatively you can slip audio by single frame increments as listed under the edit menu (Alt+. and Alt+,).
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Hi Tony,
Open the following file in a text editor:
/Library/Preferences/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/config.datAt the end of the file, remove all the lines following:
//Custom settings added by the userRestart the app, go back to preferences and fix your lines.
Thanks,

Jon,
You should be able to zoom by holding Alt/option while scrolling. This should work on the color page as well as the conform page timeline.
Andrew,
Do your Previous/Next Keyframe shortcuts not work at all or do they not work when the tracker widget is also open? For the node graph labels, you can single click to edit after first setting a label through the right click context menu.
Thanks,

September 9, 2012 at 3:58 am in reply to: Resolve 9: No option to link Chase audio anymore?Peter,
After setting your chase audio settings, right click on the WAV/audio file in your media pool. There is an option to use the file as chase audio (I think it’s the last option).

September 3, 2012 at 3:00 am in reply to: “Insufficient memory (4095 MB) to allocate 4000 buffers on site 1.”Hi Nick,
Since 9.0 is 64 bit, it can use a lot more memory. In order to go back to 8.2.2 settings, just open Preferences in Resolve (in 8.2.2), press save and restart the app. This will reset the settings to 8.2.2 defaults.
When you switch back to 9.0, just repeat the same process to go back to 9.0 settings.
Thanks,

August 15, 2012 at 7:43 am in reply to: Resolve 9 Windows: “QTDecoder.exe has stopped working”Hi Eugene/John,
Could both of you send us a sample of a clip that it is crashing on? You can send the clip to davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign.com.
Thanks,

Hi Jason,
You should still be able to find the CaptureLogs.app at the same location. Go ahead and send us that although you uninstalled.
In addition to that, could you also zip up the folder where your disk database was saved and send that over. The default location is: /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Local_DiskDB.
If you manually saved this in another location, please look for a folder called “Resolve Projects”. Could you please zip this up and send it to us at davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign.com.
Thanks,
Anish -
Hi Kevin,
I tried Alexa ProRes 4444 files here and Resolve seems to read timecode correctly. Would it be possible for you to send us a short sample of one of the clips where Resolve is not seeing the TC correctly?
If you are unable to send us the actual files, could you at least send us an export of the project?
You can send your media to davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign.com
Thanks,
Anish -
Javier,
Could you capture logs immediately after the render crash (/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/CaptureLogs.app). Please send a copy of the packaged zip file to davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign.com.
Could you give some more detail on the render cache? What type of source media are you using? Could you send us an export of the project?
As for the scopes, Resolve should remember scope settings for each user. When you say it is resetting, do you mean the scopes go back to displaying all 4 every time you open the project? We will take a look to see if we run into similar issues.
Thanks,
Anish
