    Nikolai,

Could you go to /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/ and run the “Capture Logs” application immediately after a crash. This will create a log file on your Desktop. Please email that to davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com.

It would also help if you could send us an export of the project.

    Thanks,
    Anish

  • Can send us an export of the project at davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com?

    Thanks,
    Anish

    Andrew,

On the config page, what is the frame rate set as under the Timeline conform options? This should have been set during the import (if you selected automatically set project settings) and should be at 30.

Could you send an export of the project (with EDLs) to davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com?

Also, what version and platform are you running Resolve on?

Would it be possible for you to upload and then send the link of sample clips (1080p and 720p) to davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com?

    Thanks,

I am seeing 10b on 8.2 beta 4. What version of Resolve are you on?

My machine seems to default to the Resolve app as well. You could try the Switch Parent Directory instead of the Change Parent Directory option. Add the Mac folder with your clips without removing the Windows entry. Go back to Switch Parent Directory and select the new folder.

    Hi Ben,

What are your project settings and what format are you transcoding your videos to? MXF files with unsupported encoding will usually not show up in Resolve.

    Thanks,
    Anish

  • Jef,

You should be able to create 1:1 10bit .mxf files using the MXF RGB 1080p and 1080i output type. Similarly, you can create 1:1 8 bit using the UYVY options.

    Thanks,
    Anish
