I’ve got a couple Resolve projects that were done on the Windows beta version that I need to work with and render out on the Mac version. I exported the project from Windows, and imported it into the Mac.

My question though, is how do I change the file path of the source (RED) files?

Right now their listed as: “D:MEDIAR3D”
I need them to be: “/Volumes/MEDIA/R3D/”

Is there an easy way to change that in Resolve?

    Thanks,
    Chris

In the media pool, select all the clips, and then use the “Change Parent Directory” function:

    From: D:MEDIAR3D
    To: /Volumes/MEDIA/R3D

Hmmm… when I try that nothing happens.

The “from” and “to” pre-populate’s with links to the Resolve app. I change them to my old directory to my new directory, hit “change” – nothing happens. Opening the tool re-populates it with links to the Resolve app again.

    I’m running 8.2 b4, could this be a bug in beta 4?

    Thoughts?

My machine seems to default to the Resolve app as well. You could try the Switch Parent Directory instead of the Change Parent Directory option. Add the Mac folder with your clips without removing the Windows entry. Go back to Switch Parent Directory and select the new folder.
