You could create a clean plate of the sightly above pure black that the window will be at, place it to cover the area partially (really only looks like you need to cover the crew member’s feet), and rotoscope the woman in front. The half of the frame with the hold man doesn’t need to be touched. It’d be a case for the rotobrush, there is good separation between the woman and background, could be painless.

Seems fine to me.
For broadcast you should have been given a spec sheet. Constant bitrate is preferred by some so that put up a yellow flag for me.
For YouTube, that size is also acceptable. It may be overkill as well but stuff will always be recompressed so I would just worry about producing the highest quality you can without going over their limits and whatever is sane for you to upload. Max video size is 15 minutes or 2GB. A verified account (by mobile phone) is increased to 20GB and unlimited time.

The standard is screen replacement. If done properly it offers better overall clarity. Most commercials are also shot with prototype devices that may have limited working software.
The screen on mobile devices can rarely get bright enough to be photographed against a normally lit screen. I do like keeping the screen up along with putting physical tracking dots on the camera as it also aids the actor in knowing where to place his/her finger on the screen.

No, this would need additional authoring via DVD or Blu-Ray. If you want it done completely online then Adobe Flash can do it quite easily. It would be quite easy to branch these video choices.
Video files are dumb in the sense that you can’t encapsulate commands and logic like these.

Yes, plug in your second monitor and go to the menu Edit > Preferences > Playback and set it as “Adobe Monitor 2”. Whenever the premiere window has focus, it should turn your second monitor into a full sized program monitor.

So as I understand it, you know when the song ends but you want to have the fade start or center around this end point? You’re trying to extend the fade beyond the cut’s edge?
Not possible, best thing to do is extend your cut to when you want it to be completely silent, then add the audio fade and adjust the fades length to suit your taste.
Alternately, you could create an offline file in your bin that is just audio, then butt it up to the end of your song so the fade has something to center on. It’s the audio equivalent of a black video slug.

I haven’t tested this yet, but here would be my approach considering that Premiere stores a local copy of the RMD metadata in the project file, I assume that After Effects does the same. When relinking a file it may force the update of that metadata.
I would suggest renaming/removing all RMD files before relinking the media. This may cause After Effects to fall back onto the stored metadata or to refresh the embedded metadata to that of the camera original before you graded it. Crapshoot there but worth a try.
In After effects, you can right click a file, go to Interpret Footage > once a window pops up hit more options, and you’ll have access to manipulate the R3D file. It’s a pain to have to re-adjust, but I can only assume you aren’t doing this processing to many clips.
The exposure stacking from one image doesn’t really get you much of anything that can’t be adjusted with normal color correction tools. Not a big fan of it personally.

I answered your post on RedUser, but for the benefit of others I’m duplicating my answer here.
1. In Redcine-X take all of your files and add them to a project bin
2. Add all of your videos to a sequence in Redcine-X (don’t worry about it being perfect, this step is really a technicality)
3. In Redcine-X’s project browser where you see your bins and sequences, make sure the sequence you just created is selected
4. Shallow export a Final Cut XML
5. Import XML into Premiere and relink R3D files.You should see metadata populate within Premiere. This metadata is project specific and is housed in your Premiere Pro project file so any new projects will have to go through these steps.

These exported files need to be used in conjunction with a proper DVD authoring program like Adobe Encore. Placing these files on the disc as a data disc will not work as you’ve experienced first hand.

It could certainly work if you make the scale of the blinds match the shot in an artistic way – probably keeping them larger in scale than normal.
